Boston About Results or Something Else???

Is this site a genuine attempt to reveal the inner workings of Boston City Government to the public? Or is it merely a cynical attempt to convince the public that the inner workings of Boston City Government are being revealed whilst actually revealing nothing new? In general, a truly Transparent site would post contracts, budgets, check-registers and the like. Here’s the Boston Phoenix take on this.

Your thoughts on this and on this. Our thoughts are that it would be nice to see where the MONEY has been spent (checkbooks,budgets,contracts on an item by item basis). Let’s see how this shakes out.
